Happy Wednesday!

Today the students started their morning/afternoon coping environmental print and labeling a bear in their visual journal. We are beginning our investigation into animals in the winter, and kicking it off with the grizzly and black bear.

We will be learning about the animals habitat, food, and some of their unique characteristics.

Shoe Boxes Needed
With our animal investigation we will be creating a habitat diorama - could you please send in a labeled shoebox with your child to help us with this project?

The morning Kinders had gym and music.

Representing numbers - we are focusing on the variety of ways that we can represent a number - writing the word, the numeral, representing it on a 10 frame, with tally marks. Today's number is 1 - ask your child what they can think of that there is only 1 of - we brainstormed some ideas in class!

This afternoon the Kinders worked on a journal entry about their winter break. We are getting back into the swing of labeling and sounding out our chosen words. Ask your child what they drew/wrote about.

Rock Stars!

Kayleigh brought in her favourite book: Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Kayleigh said her favourite part is when the bears find Goldilocks in bed!

Blakcly brought in the book Press Here: Blakely said that it is her favourite book because she loves pushing the dots and seeing what happens!
