Happy Wednesday!

After learning tables, the AM students had both gym and music.

Snowman labeling:
Informational text - Today the students were introduced to "informational text" - text that tells you about the drawing or picture. Once we had our snowman in our books we decided that it would be helpful if the parts of the snowman were labeled so that anyone could open our book and know about our snowman.
Together we decided what words we would need to label and then we began labeling.


AM
This morning the students used their cutting and coloring skills to color, cut and glue a snowman into their visual journal. Tomorrow they will be labeling the parts of the snowman.

PM
Students all did the same task today for their learning jobs - coloring winter mittens to display in our classroom.

The PM students also colored, cut and glued their snowman into their visual journals.
Then, we worked together to come up with a list of words that we could refer to when labeling our snowman. Some of us "kid-spelled" (writing the dominant letter sounds that they hear) and some of us copied the words.
