Happy Thursday!

Today the students brainstormed what they know about winter and what they like to do in the winter. We then drew a winter scene or an activity that we like to do in the winter.

Students were encouraged to add labels to their drawing by slowly stretching their chosen word and writing the first sound that they heard.

Sent home today:

Today an assessment was sent home with your child. This assessment showcases what we have been working on since September: letter of the day, printing our name, subitizing (recognizing familiar arrangements of 1-5 at a glance), counting from 1-10 and 10-1 from a variety of starting points, drawing detailed pictures with backgrounds that help to tell the story, and speaking on topic about our drawing. If you have any questions please let me know.
