The background helps to tell the story

Happy Thursday!!

Rock Stars of the Day

Davonte shared his adorable bunny named Blueberry that the easter bunny brought for him. He said that he takes his bunny with him everywhere!!

Adrian shared with us his favourite book. He said that Cars and the Find Nemo Stories are his favourite - many of his peers also agreed!
Logan shared with us his super cool remote control Jeep! He drove it around to show us how it worked and said he plays with it both inside and outside at home. It was a mega hit with his peers!

We started our morning/afternoon with some fun math games.

What is a background? Ask your child what they learned today about backgrounds.

We discussed how a background ADDs to a picture and helps to tell the story about what is happening. We looked at different examples of detailed backgrounds and not so detailed backgrounds before we drew our own fall scene/background.

Look at these amazing Fall Backgrounds! We first talked about how to make our fall background tell a story. The students said that we should have a tree, grass, a sun, sky and maybe a bird.

These are the results! Wow!

No School for AM Kinders tomorrow

** PM Kinders will be going on a Wonder Walk to the local park by the pond. Please make sure that they are dressed for the weather - the wind has been quite chilly these past few days for a hat and mitts would help keep them warm.

Pumpkins

Any size, color, shape or texture is welcome!
